Around 70 people turned out to hear Bob Wealthy’s very interesting talk on the history of Ryde Airport and the Spithead Express, on Wednesday, October 22.
With donations and the raffle, the evening raised over £100 for Historic Ryde Society. Many thanks to Molly for manning the door, to David for selling raffle tickets and to Ron and Brian for the introductions and general management of the evening.
The next event is the monthly quiz at Yelf’s next Thursday evening, October 30. This will be followed by Martin Simpson – The Fossil Man, on Wednesday, November 12.
