More Pier Improvements

The Directors of the Ryde Pier Company are to be congratulated upon having effected a great improvement on their property by replacing the uncomfortable forms on the Pier with seats, which are not only elegant in appearance but furnish a support to the back. The directors have also erected several wind shelters, the sides of which are of glass, so that an uninterrupted view of the sea is afforded. If these structures were only furnished with a roof, they would furnish shelter from the rain and sun as well as from the wind. Could not the Pier Company modify them with this object?
