I often think of the times we spent
Oh! so happily together.
The world engaged in its noisy race
But we, content with each other.
No word was said, no hint was given
But each knew the feeling of each,
It wanted not words, it wished for no sign
A lesson so easy to teach.
Methought t’was learned so well by heart
To forget it could never be
I always shall think of the days long gone,
Will he ever think of me?
