‘Giving Ryde’s Past to the Future’

An extra hour of fun and entertainment!

From Monday, August 11 until Tuesday, September 30, Ryde District Heritage Centre and the Donald McGill Saucy Seaside Postcard Museum will open from 10am until 4pm, giving our visitors an extra hour of fun and entertainment!
On Thursday, August 14, the Centre will be closed to the general public between 10am and 1pm, for the official Grand Opening of the McGill collection, and Historic Ryde Society’s Isle of Wight Rifles, and WWI centenary commemoration displays. Historic Ryde Society and Donald McGill Museum apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Historic Ryde Society and Donald McGill Museum are delighted to welcome Donald’s great niece, Elizabeth Windsor, his grandson Patrick Tumber, Isle of Wight High Sheriff, Mrs Claire Locke and invited guests from the Isle of Wight and Ryde Town Councils for the ceremony. The proceedings will be opened by Ryde Town Crier, Steve King.
