VOLUNTEERS URGENTLY NEEDED
at the Museum of Ryde
Would you like to meet new people, learn fascinating local history, and become part of a friendly community at the heart of Ryde?
The Museum of Ryde is looking for enthusiastic volunteers aged 18+ to help support our unique and growing museum, operated by the Historic Ryde Society.
Whether you are:
• Looking to make new friends
• In-between jobs
• Recently retired and wanting a meaningful new activity
• New to the Isle of Wight
• Interested in history, culture, museums, or local heritage
• Simply looking to do something rewarding with your spare time
—we would love to hear from you.
Every day at the museum brings something different. From runaway elephants and royal scandals to seaside history, Victorian curiosities, and the remarkable stories that shaped Ryde, there is always something new to discover.
No previous museum experience is needed — just enthusiasm, reliability, and an interest in helping preserve and share Ryde’s history for future generations.
By volunteering, you will also have the opportunity to become part of the Historic Ryde Society and support the continued preservation of the town’s extraordinary heritage.
Flexible days and times are available to suit you.
